This is a great question to ask someone when sparking a conversation about Jesus. Many people have never read the Bible, they have created an opinion based on what they THINK Jesus and salvation is from what they have heard from others. Or what has been represented by people who call themselves Christians. Usually leaving them with a false representation and opinion of who Christ really is. This is why Christ wants us to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and to constantly die to our flesh so we can shine the light of Jesus that’s in us and be a real representation of the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
